Many members of the Choir are choral scholars, some are at music college, and most hope to make a career in music. Since its foundation by Ralph Allwood in 1984, the Choir have toured extensively in Europe, and have also appeared throughout the United Kingdom at venues great and small, including St John's, Smith Square and some of the country's most glorious cathedrals.  less

It has evolved into an ensemble determined to reinvent itself continuously as it develops a sound that is artistically intelligent. In its 14-year history, Novo Concertante Manila has competed and won in several international choral competitions. Among which are the 2nd Choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea(2002), the 1st A Voyage of Songs International Chorale Competition in Genting Highlands, Malaysia (2003) and the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Choir Competition in Takarazuka, Japan (2007). In 2009, the choir won the 1st and 2nd Prizes at the 46th Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittalan der Drau, Austria and the 1st Prize at the 55th Certamen International de Habaneras y Polifonia in torrevieja, Spain.
