A vibrant 60 voice all-volunteer ensemble, known for its innovative programming, fine musicianship, and warm fellowship. Performances at local venues, and major halls in metro NY-NJ area. Rehearsals on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 10 PM, September through May.

The Barberettes are always looking for new members and would love to welcome you to visit us in rehearsal. If you are free on Wednesday evenings, simply come along at 7:45pm, see what we're all about and chat to members in the break. In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo adds an improvised accompaniment (in a one-take rendition) to his setting of the Ubi Caritas text -- which is published as an unaccompanied piece. Because of his view that improvising is a wonderful snapshot of artists "at that moment", the project was entitled "In the Moment".  less

Concert group counts about 60 people, mainly students, academic teachers and friends outside College. Our repertoire has about 80 a capella works (from medieval to contemporary composers), large sacred forms by Haendel, Mozart and Mendellsohn Bartholdy and 40 carols. We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). The Adlibitum Chorus is the official university choir of Batangas State University in the Philippines consisting of College students and alumni members. The Adlibitum Chorus is one of the oldest and active choirs of Batangas dating back from 1980 to present.

Based in Winchester, the chorus currently has about 40 members of all ages who come from across Southern Hampshire. We continue to meet regularly via Zoom while we're unable to gather face to face. The chorus has competed locally, nationally and on occasion internationally, as well as entertaining local audiences at public and private events.
