This auditioned SATB choir has a long history of performing high quality Choral music at various events including school Concerts, community events, and National conferences and festivals. Last year after winning the St John’s group Choral Rosebowl, this choir won both the Provincial Music Festival and the National Music Festival of Canada. The choir has been featured on local television and radio programs and even performed live in Concert International Children performing icons- The Wiggles. The Wiggles Performance garnered national attention with news articles in all major outlets across the country. A request by artistic director Susan Glass for a new Choral work addressing climate change resulted in the creation of “Planet Earth Lullaby.” Composer Rich Campbell contemplated and determined the piece would be both an alarm for help and a call to actio...  moreA request by artistic director Susan Glass for a new Choral work addressing climate change resulted in the creation of “Planet Earth Lullaby.” Composer Rich Campbell contemplated and determined the piece would be both an alarm for help and a call to action. For over a century the internationally recognized distress signal has been the Morse Code sequence for SOS: 3 short, 3 long, 3 short ( . . . - - - . . . ). This became the rhythmic framework of note durations (heard in various ways) throughout this work, though it collapses when the chorus sings of “catastrophic climate collapse.” The SOS pattern then returns, transformed into longer durations, calling for renewed attention and devotion to our environment. TuneTown Show Chorus puts a contemporary spin on traditional barbershop singing and has won four Sweet Adelines regional chorus competitions to go on to represent a multi-state region in international contests.

The "Ladies of Melody Choir" was founded in the city of Tartus in November 2022 by Maestro Bishr Issa, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Music and a musician in the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra. He was also the former conductor of the "Chamber Choir of the High Institute of Music" in Damascus, and the conductor of the "Urjwan Choirs" in Tartous. The main goal of establishing the "Ladies of Melody Choir" was to highlight the role of Arab women in the cultural and musical scene, introduce the culture of Choral and collective singing in its contemporary concept to the local artistic culture, and revive the authentic musical heritage of the Levant and the Arab world, which has begun to disappear and decline in the face of superficiality and degradation dominating the general Arab artistic scene.
