We aim to establish a strong group of singers who rehearse and perform regularly, predominantly a cappella choral works but sometimes with instruments and including some solo/small ensemble repertoire. We will be commissioning new works as well as exploring established repertoire and pieces by CoMA composers and associates. The group will reinforce as well as supplement the established CoMA Voices programme.
singers are expected to be confident singers with some sight reading experience, be prepared to tackle unusual vocal techniques and unconventional pieces. singers are expected to work and prepare themselves between rehearsals less

My beloved said to me...
Arise, my love, and come with me
See now the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone
The time of singing has come
and the song of the turtle dove is heard in our land
Arise, my love, and come away with me
My beloved said to me...
Arise, my love, and come away with me
Arise, my love, come away with me

Aimed mainly at singers in the "young professional" category, it is for people who are looking for a Choir with a difference - a great social atmosphere and a challenging, varied repertoire. An auditioned Choir of around 25 members, Tamesis is a high-standard Choir, capable of singing 8-part repertoire on a few rehearsals and having fun while doing it! We've just recorded our second CD which will be released in Autumn 2012.

We are brothers of the same species and maybe we do not realize but our differences ideological, behavioral, religious, gender, etc. – In truth are skills to complement us and if we unite them, we will have access to all the knowledge of all the truths existing in humanity.
We must be tolerant and learn from one another because we are in the same boat traveling together and to live a wonderful life, we must listen to each other and unite to awaken our kindness and create synergistic relationships. So we will always remember that we are the same species and we will find peace.
Translation of the lyrics.
We are the union;
The most powerful force in nature,
With the ability to make shine
The spring of desires.
We are the arms high up and
We are hugging the sky
Uniting the seas;
We cross the borders and
We create magic.
We are transported there,
Where desire flows and
Where together we are the torrent
With the abilit... less

As a part of the historic community of Worcester Cathedral, the Choir has gained a reputation for musical sensitivity and ground breaking performance.
The Choir was founded in 1998 by its musical director, Stephen Shellard, in order to draw together a group of high quality singers from the local area to develop a concert repertoire and further enrich the choral tradition of Worcester Cathedral. The establishment of the Choir made history as, for the first time since its foundation nearly 1000 years ago, Worcester Cathedral included women's voices as a part of its musical life. less

There Will Come Soft Rains
There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white;
Robins will wear their feathery fire,
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.
Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree,
If mankind perished utterly;
And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn
Would scarcely know that we were gone.
