It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to The Jaime Cardinal Sin Village Community, which in that time was newly constructed, located at Punta. Sta. Ana, Manila, where The parish is situated. Before, They compose of only girls, singing melody of The songs of The Holy Mass. A year passed, Virgilio Deloso handled The choir, and divided The girls into two voices, The Sopranos and Altos. It was not so long that The group acquired male participants filling up all The voice sections of a chorale. Shortly after, JCSV Chorale was Then disbanded to give rise to what They now call The Munting Himig Chorale, having more than 20 god-endearing and angelic-voiced Youth of Punta. We give you The pleasure of enjoying fine music and knowing you are a part of a musical community - a team that enriches The life of all of us. We currently have about 50 members. We feature a variety of music from popular to classical. Our selections are fun and challenging for singers and entertaining and rewarding for audiences. Open rehearsals for potential new members are held in September and January at The beginning of The rehearsal seasons. No formal auditions are held, but we do expect new members to be experienced in four part choral singing, and to have some ability to read along with sheet music. With thirty-five voices and a multi-talented band, The choir’s repertoire ranges from hip-hop, reggae, traditional and contemporary gospel. Every one of Them have learned and recorded individually a part of an original song (Vuela Alto = Fly High). When brought togeTher, this parts sums to a wonderful show of talent and music. This project was made for The graduation prom by students aged between 13 and 15 years old. They show us that The only thing that matters to achieve anything is take The risk and surrender to your dreams. More than a third of Them have never sung to an audience before (including Linda, The soloist). The music brings us togeTher, it allows us to raise our voice to The universe and with it "Ni la distancia podrá separarnos" (Not even The distance can take us apart).  less
