Solomons and Text by Thomas Clarke. This setting for Christmas represents The cold of a NorThern winter (The cruel wind blows) although of course The actual events took place in raTher warmer climes. It also reflects much of The liturgical and popular symbolism of The Christmas season: robins, holly etc and it brings our thoughts towards The season of Easter with The blood of Good Friday.

The objective was to bring about musical performances (of choral works by foreign and Nigerian composers) of sufficiently high standard for international consumption, within The limitations of national resources. The CHORALE which has grown in size to over 100 singers has given numerous concerts in Lagos and oTher towns in Nigeria, including Aba, Abakaliki, Abeokuta, Abuja, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Ibadan, Ife, Nsit Atai, Oko, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Uyo. It has performed many times on Radio and Television and has featured on many State, National and International functions. It was The nucleus of The Nigerian National Choir for FESTAC 77. The choir is made up of undergraduate and graduate students auditioned from all faculties and grades and performs several concerts every year, and at important university ceremonies. Participation always begins in The Fall semester, and continues all The way to graduation commencement in June. The choir performed in joint concerts with choirs from Duke University, Yale University, Harvard University, Perugia University and Missouri Drury University.  less

It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to The Jaime Cardinal Sin Village Community, which in that time was newly constructed, located at Punta. Sta. Ana, Manila, where The parish is situated. Before, They compose of only girls, singing melody of The songs of The Holy Mass. A year passed, Virgilio Deloso handled The choir, and divided The girls into two voices, The Sopranos and Altos. It was not so long that The group acquired male participants filling up all The voice sections of a chorale. Shortly after, JCSV Chorale was Then disbanded to give rise to what They now call The Munting Himig Chorale, having more than 20 god-endearing and angelic-voiced Youth of Punta. Jede Sängerin kann sich einbringen,...  moreWir sind ein junger Chor mit Sängerinnen zwischen 18 und 28 Jahren. Bei Konzerten in Münster und der Region singen wir A Capella oder mit Klavierbegleitung, wobei einige der Arrangements von unseren Mitgliedern stammen. Jede Sängerin kann sich einbringen, sei es durch das Anleiten von Proben oder Einsingen, durchs Arrangieren oder Solo-Partien.
