In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the Cultural Center of the Philippines invites choirs from all over the world to compete in the andrea O. Veneracion Choral Festival, Manila, 2013. It is open to choirs which will qualify in the following categories: Folk Music, Vocal Ensemble, Chamber Choir.
The festival honors the founder of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, National Artist for Music, andrea O. Veneracion, an esteemed choirmaster and choral clinician who is instrumental in the promotion of choral music all over the country. less

All performances are from memory, delivering carefully-structured, semi-choreographed programmes. Repertoire encom... moreFounded in October 2008 by Katharina Megli, the Lucy Cavendish Singers are a small choir of around 16 women. Membership is by audition only. All performances are from memory, delivering carefully-structured, semi-choreographed programmes. Repertoire encompasses jazz, show tunes and folk songs as well as opera and the classical repertoire. Members include fellows and alumnae of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, as well as Singers drawn from the wider community.
