He always wanted to sing h...  moreNUMBER ONE RUGBY REFEREE REALISES HIS DREAM As we come to the end of the rugby season, perhaps a song from, in our opinion, the world's number one rugby referee. We recently recorded this with Nigel Owens for a TV programme. He always wanted to sing his favourite song with a Male Voice Choir. We in Dowlais were so pleased to help him realise his ambition. Hope you all enjoy listening to a great referee and a great Choir, as together we sing......MYFANWY.  

Sung at Canterbury Cathedral during our Royal School of Church music Summer Course in 1986, under Martin How. I (David W Solomons) was one of the altos. John Huntley - a fellow alto - recorded this performance.

Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival. GENERAL CONDITIONS All choir ensembles may join one part of the Festival: Competitive or Non-competitive.  less

As with all our ensembles, Tamariki provides a secure and accepting social environment where all singers feel their importance as members of the group. Most importantly, Tamariki has fun and creates exciting music!
