I think I've always sung, I sing alto, because in the school choir there were too many sops. Mum was a nightclub singer, so Gershwin was my early influence. Today I love anything from the Blues to Baroque. I'm a qualified Optican, and I've recently retired (early) from a career training undergraduate optometrists
