About Me
Tolga Gülen who was born in 1974 in Istanbul attended Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty, Music Education Department in 1991 and graduated with degree in 1995 from Major Violin. Besides violin education, he studied and attended Masterclasses of "Advanced Harmony" and "Choir Conducting".
He also worked on "Orchestration and Ensemble Conducting" with Seval Irmak, in Istanbul Technical University Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MİAM); "Conducting" with Prof. Rengim Gökmen, "Orchestra and Ensemble Conducting" with Ivan Arion Karst.
In 2004, along with Cengiz Ünal he founded the first popular acapella group "Vokaliz" in Turkey. The group gave acapella and symphonic concerts, made albums and performed on TV programmes. Tolga Gülen made vocal arrangements and transcriptions for Vokaliz and Acapella Group 34 Choir also for the Turkish Choir and Vocal Repertoire.
In 2015 he started his personal vocal project " Solopella". Every Sunday he publishes a video clip of his own on YouTube. He sings, records, shoots the video clip and does the editing all by himself.
Tolga Gülen is currently working with "Vokaliz" the only popular acapella group in Turkey, as the vocalist and the producer. He is the conductor and the arranger of the PoliPop, Pop choir, and he also works as a Music Manager and a Vocal Coach.

PoliRock; It is Turkey's first rock choir.

As a Corporate Motivation product, Tolga Gülen has been working with companies on PoliPop since 2011. Deciding to offer PoliPop outside of corporate participation, it was implemented within the body of "Kadıköy Municipality Volunteer Counseling and Training Center". PoliRock, together with PoliPop, became Turkey's second modular Chorus project.
There is no notation and exam system in PoliRock. Tolga Gülen has been using his own song learning technique that he developed during his work with corporate companies for years. PoliRock is open to the participation of anyone who wants to sing.
