Feedback was the thing that I missed most during lockdown when I was running both my choirs over zoom. A bit of banter, a singer seeking clarification, the chance to give praise or to gently guide in the right direction - all was lost when the choir were all on mute singing to a backing track. And it was so much more draining than a live face-to-face session.
I try now to make a point of giving praise whenever I can (I’m just as guilty as the next person of forgetting to sometimes) and of relishing questions and banter when they happen.
