About Me
I am the Director of Choral Activities and Music Education, as well as the coordinator of Arts Management for Methodist University. I have taught for 25 years between public school and college positions in ME, NH, MA, OH, and NC. Additionally, I sang with a barbershop quartet, The Management, from 1985-2003.
The Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists
selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students

selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students
who have been active in choral ensembles in high school or college are encouraged to audition for this choir. Auditions for
Chorale can take place at anytime to fill necessary spots in the group. Once students are selected for Chorale, they are
members until they choose to leave, are removed, or when they graduate. In addition to its regular concert schedule, the
Chorale tours each spring (Orlando, ’09; NYC, ’10; Atlanta, ’11, Boston, ’12, Orlando, ’13). A yearly scholarship is offered to people who are successfully placed in the group. less
The Noblemen is a men’s chorus ensemble and open to all men in the University community from all disciplines that love to sing and enjoy camaraderie through great music. Music from every music epoch will be performed from serious to more pop/contemporary ... moreThe Noblemen is a men’s chorus ensemble and open to all men in the University community from all disciplines that love to sing and enjoy camaraderie through great music. Music from every music epoch will be performed from serious to more pop/contemporary a cappella forms. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester, and satisfies the fine arts requirement when enrolled for a minimum of three
semesters.
