  • About Me I am a qualified teacher, having worked in tertiary, secondary and primary education for 15 years, and a qualified community workshop leader. I also compose music for community choirs, and my work has been performed by choirs nationwide, including Sing for Water London, the National Street Choirs Festival, Bristol Big Sing and Sea Sound Sing a cappella festival.

I work with community choirs, singing groups, theatre groups and corporations, mainly in the field of a cappella harmony singing, but I also run workshops and courses in group composition, improvisation, singing with cross rhythms and percussion, stagecraft and group movement for simple performance technique.

Our strength is in our repertoire and our ethos. We sing songs of protest, passion and celebration throughout the ages from all around the world. Leaving no generic stone unturned, our repertoire is wildly eclectic and deeply funky; songs to make you laugh, stomp your feet, shiver with harmonic delight and keep coming back for more! Our Musical Director Kirsty Martin explains our vision: “We believe that collective song is a strong and versatile instrument that can move mountains. We stand out from the sing-along choirs and the corporate choral businesses as a bold creative force; an equitable, exploratory and enjoyable musical community who share and perform innovative vocal music together with a palpable and infectious joy. We’re willing to go where no choirs have gone before! We are the music makers, ...    less
