  • About Me Keara is widely regarded as one of Galway’s foremost singers and wedding musician. Keara established herself to provide a personalised, comprehensive and professional service for engaged couples in Galway & Ireland.
    Since she started in 2000, Keara has been responsible for music co-ordination at over 400 weddings in Ireland & Europe. With a great team of professional musicians to suit all needs, Keara’s business is growing ever stronger, receiving countless testimonials from happy couples.
    Described as having a voice that sounds soulful, prayerful and real, Keara has been singing in Churches all her life. With a genuine love for all types of music, she performs Traditional church music, Irish, Gospel, Folk and contemporary music, complemented by a wide range of instrument choices to suit style, genre and ceremony-type.
    Keara has been playing with some of Galway’s finest musicians and singers. Having fronted 2 of her own bands ~ “The Nickel Jazz Band” & “The Soul Monkeys” and accompanied many others vocally and musically. She has been a guest singer with the “West coast big band” & “Jazz in the 12″ with Marcin Plaza. She has played keyboard and backing vocals for “Top Form” & “The FnG’s” She has gained the wealth of understanding and experience needed to provide for different tastes and styles for the big day.
    Keara works with Niall Conroy, one of Galways finest guitarist. They’ve worked together for many years and now provide a soothing but entertaining set list for Pre-Receptions.
    Throughout the entire planning process, Keara will offer advice and guidance, tailoring the music to your specification. With options for both ceremony and reception music, you can relax, knowing Keara will work with you, at every step, to provide the perfect soundtrack to your special day.
    Other Work Keara has done:
    She founded and musically directed the Tuam Youth Gospel choir in 2004 which she ran until 2007.
    She has worked with youth Varity shows, fundraising events and musical societies over the years.
    Her latest accomplishment is Dec 2011, 3rd year running. With 130 singers from all walks of life, ranging from 5 to 70, she produced “The Gift” Christmas concert which runs for 4 nights raising money for charity.
    Her professional credits as a singer and director include:
    Ignite Gospel Choir 2008 – present
    The kings kids gospel choir 2009 – present
    The Gift Gospel Choir (all founded by Keara)
    Musical director for the Tuam youth variety show & Saint Josephs Gala Variety show.
    “Sylvia Nolan” Drama Students of Bushypark National School and Shantalla & Westside Resource Varity show.
    Co Founded & taught music in the Tuam Performing Arts Academy.
    She has been providing church music as both singer and accompanist for weddings, funerals and other ceremonies. She provides music in 3 churches in Galway for mass services.
    Keara Has also been an active member in several musical societies over the years and performed in shows such as : The pirates of Penzance (Edith), Honk! (Grace) The little shop of horrors, Crazy for you, Wonderful town, How to succeed in business with really trying, Wizard of Oz, Dazzle Star, How the west wasn’t won.

    Volunteer work includes:
    Provides Music for the “Remembrance” evening in the Galway Hospice
    Taught in the Holy Family School for Children with special needs

    In her spare time Keara loves to read, play music, Cook for friends, Walks in Barna woods or along a shore line. She loves her Gospel Choirs. She loves to browse around market places picking up little things. She has recently joined the civil defence and has a keen interest in emergency response and first aid.     She loves to dance. Keara Loves her faith and feels it’s one of the most important thing in her life and so keeps involved in many different church projects.

He had retired 12 years previously. What was once a packed out mass full of joy and prayer, families and young couples, singles and religious, was now a quieter mass with no choir and I saddened by this. I offered my services as a singer and musician to come and provide music for the 5:30 mass and within a few short weeks I returned to the place I consider my spiritual home. I had not purposely set out to start a choir but people began to approach me with a desire to sing and it was a need within the community I was not going to Ignore. On the 12th Dec 2008 The Jes Gospel Choir was birthed with 5 singers and me & it was a wonderful experience and we received a very warm welcome.
