    ​
    He studied at the Musical Institute "Vincenzo Bellini" in Catania. He specialized at the International School of Musical Specialization in Bobbio (PC), with Hans Deinzer (Nuremberg) with Fabrizio Meloni 1st clarinet of La Scala in Milan. He attended master classes held by Antony Pay (1st clarinet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra);
    He graduated in Theology at the Theological Faculty, Theological Studio “S. Paolo” in Catania, discussing a thesis on sacred music.
    Recently he obtained the II level degree (Didactic address) at the "Bellini" Institute of Catania, discussing the thesis "Music and psycho-physical discomfort" historical-didactic-pedagogical contributions for a 'alumnus-centric' methodology of the musical instrument " .
    He also studied choral conducting and polyphonic repertoire with the masters: Bruno Zagni and Walter Marzilli, Elisa Poidomani, Bruno Tirotta

    He has won numerous prizes in numerous competitions of interpretation and musical composition (Carrara, Mottola, T.Pardo, Ama Calabria, Nascimbene Award etc.), recently he reached the final at the 59th Seghizzi of Gorizia (2019) competing in the composition trophy next July 2020.

    In 1999 he founded the Music Association "Polyphonic Choir of St. Dominic Savio" of Scordia with which plays an intense musical outreach activities.

    In 2018 he was appointed, with an episcopal decree, Master of the Calatina Musical Chapel "S.Giuliano" of the diocese of Caltagirone. http://www.cappellamusicalecalatina.onweb.it/

    He has collaborated with the following directors: Giuseppe Liberto (emeritus master of the Sistine chapel), A. Krieger; M. Nacthev; F. Pennisi; G. Ferrauto; A. Manuli; Alessandro Mannarino for the album Al Monte, Tony Brundo.

    For the Nascimbene Award 2005 he set to music the film "La garçonniere" by De Sanctis, gaining appreciation from the industry's critics: Musica arte International.

    He performed the fantasy op. 87 for solo clarinet by Malcom Arnold (1921-) at the "Voltaire" center of Catania obtaining appreciation from the critics. He played solo, duo and trio in important musical and cultural centers: Taormina, Tropea, Naples, Rome, Bobbio, Assisi, Todi. And again with the Musical Offering Ensemble by R. Insolia; the Malcom Arnold's Band and the Malcom Arnold Society, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England; the Orchestra of the ancient theater of Taormina; Orchestra of the Bellini Institute of Catania; Notomusicafestival Symphony Orchestra; Calamus wind ensemble; "Fabbrica Teatro" by Elio Gimbo; "Voltaire" Cultural Center of Catania; V. Emanuele Theater Foundation of Noto; Socieà Dante Alighieri; "Metropolitan" Theater; "Catania summer music". "I. Stravinsky" Association of C. di Licata. University of Catania S. Crocella Center, Wind Orchestra of the Regional Province of Catania (2001-2004), Autonomous Body of the Teatro Massimo Bellini Catania. the "OPERA FESTIVAL" Lyrical-Symphonic Orchestra of Fiesole (FI). Also with P. Buonvino he played "Epiklesis" (1996), .. Domenico Savio" was born in 1999 with the desire to build through music, experience of collaboration and sharing. Over the years the interest in polyphony, the study of the repertoire and the vocal approach has grown. The group has joined the A.R.S. cori (Regional Association of Choirs of Sicily) and consequently to FENIARCO (National Association of choirs) with the involvement in all the regional and national demonstrations promoted by the aforementioned organism: exhibitions, concerts and gatherings for choirs. Numerous shows are made, we mention some more suggestive: the performance of some unpublished musical works by don Luigi Sturzo edited by Nicolò Maccavino of the Italian Society of Musicology (2003).  "The word sung" the multimedia show for chorus-voices, video projections and orchestra (2009); the CD recording of the traditional POPO MEO of the Easter Triduum in Scordia (2009); the event "et incarnatus est", symphonic lyric concert for solo...    less
