Our latest performance was Back up for Barry Manilow! Our choir was founded in March, 2010 by founding director Matt Deller contact us at http://www.soundsofthesouthwestsingers.com/home We have performed on the stages of New York’s Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. We have sung our way through Germany and Austria and on two separate occasions at Disneyland and California Adventures. We had the honor of performing at Pearl Harbor and aboard the USS Missouri in Hawaii. Our choir also participated in a combined concert with Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA and last fall we were chosen to be a part of a larger ensemble to sing in Rome, Italy, performing at the Vatican. They brought to our school the rich traditions of classical music that prevailed in Europe, at the time. By and by , they were ably assisted by highly interested and committed lay trainers cum teachers who went on to train prize winning choirs that stood out among schools and also were in great demand for national events. The history of the Benedictine choirs would not be complete without reference to the great English musician Rev.Bro. Hugh Farrington , ably assisted by Bonnie Fonseka. They established the reputation of Benedictine choirs.
