Anyone can join: we present top-quality events and invite everyone to 'come and join in' whether you are a lone tenor or a full SATB choir. As well as singing three times a year at the Royal Albert Hall (including the one-and-only 'Messiah from Scratch' each year), we also run cruises and trips abroad. What are you waiting for? We are inviting singers to join us for a 5-month journey of learning great music, creating valuable new relationship with others and sharing our music with others. If you love to sing, please join us. We meet every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm at the Makiki Community of Christ Church at 1666 Mott Smith Dr. there is a small membership fee for participation and we promise that you will enjoy yourself. Performed By the Harmonious Chorale-Ghana and Conducted By James Varrick Armaah - 2nd July, 2017 God is always in control - in the Bible, He influenced Persian Kings, Babylonian Kings, Roman Caesars - and here an Egyptian Pharaoh! His dream was not random scattered thoughts - it was a prophecy of the next 14 years in the nation of Egypt! Although Pharaoh had no idea what his vision meant, he clearly was troubled and sought answers from his trusted wise men...but to no avail! Present was the butler who finally remembered the Hebrew slave that had interpreted his dream 2 years before. (Spiritual application: Would Joseph have lost his faith in prison? Was he sulking in self-pity? No! He knew that God was involved in every area of his life and His wonderful plan was about to become clear...!) In addition we champion the music from current composers such a Miskinis, Part and Dubra. In addition we love singing Tallis, Byrd and Tomkins, Tye, Victoria, Guerrero and Padilla etc! We are based in Milton Keynes and have a reputation as being among the very best in the region. We are available for concerts and weddings, plus services in cathedrals and churches. Anne Frank was between the ages of 13 and 15 when she wrote her Diary, while living in a secret upstairs annex over a warehouse in Amsterdam with her family, the Van Pels family and Fritz Pfeffer. Despite the fears and frustrations she experienced in over two years of hiding from the Nazis, Anne learned how to survive, even to find beauty in small things and to hold on to her ideals. Composer Linda Tutas Haugen writes: "My goals for this composition are to honor the life of Anne Frank and to gain a deeper understanding of what she, her family, and friends experienced during the Holocaust." the text excerpts are chronologically arranged, and span more than two years. they portray...    less
