Members of The Choir are auditioned, multi-generational, and range in age from 17 to senior citizens. Performance music includes a wide variety of musical styles. Performances take place in local churches, Theaters, etc. The Chorale programs two rehearsal and Concert seasons each year. Artistic Director & Conductor Jan Lanterman and Associate Conductor Jason Nett conduct rehearsals and performances.

South Salem High School's Symphonic Choir preforming at The Oregon 6A Choir championships. The fabulous amazing spectacular Carol Stenson is Their long standing director. South Salem took FIRST PLACE at Oregon's State Competition. This was Their second song of four. This whole competition took place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at Their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon.
