The Peninsula Girls Chorus strives toward a high level of Musicianship paired with sensitive interpretations of Music from a variety of genres. In our quest to become global citizens of the 21st century, the PGC performs both locally and abroad. We provide a valuable resource to our local community through assorted outreach performances and we participate in prestigious domestic and international Music festivals. In addition to Musical benefits, the PGC offers opportunities for the development of leadership skills, higher-order thinking, discipline and self-esteem. We teach Music, and in the process our girls learn something equally valuable—responsibility.  less

The BoyChoir’s reputation for excellence has brought invitations from local and national Music conventions, as well as sporting events and touring Broadway companies. The BoyChoir has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Prague Philharmonic, Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion on National Public Radio, amongst others. This season our Choirboys will be featured in Minnesota American Choral Directors Association’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Golden Finale Concert along with first-time appearances with the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, Edina Chorale and St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church Choir (Orff’s Carmina Burana). We will participate in the third annual Minnesota State Festival of BoyChoirs in April. The ensemble prepares concerts twice a year, singing highly diverse repertoire, ranging from renaissance compositions to contemporary Music and everything in between.
