Homechoir is a new way of learning music. You don’t need to be an accomplished singer to take part. Homechoir members watch and sing along with Ben - teaching is one-way so nobody can hear us but the neighbours! - and are also invited to take part in the live text chat with Ben and with fellow singers around the world. There is a vibrant and friendly social community among the choir. If you can’t join in live, then you can still enjoy the music-making at any time. All our sessions remain available on YouTube after the live streams end for watching on catch-up when you can, and as often as you like. It is not necessary to be able to read music, and where scores are needed, Ben will display them on screen to help you learn. As well as traditional and classical choral pieces, Ben teaches a huge range of ot...    onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Performing all genres of music on their home stage at Frederick Community College, CASF is known for bringing a dynamic and invigorating concert set to every season. Sharing a passion for music in the community is a mainstay for the choir and its Artistic Director Lynn Staininger, who strategically partners with local and regional artists to bring a variety of instrumental support to complement the nonprofit’s harmonious sounds.  onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is majestic. * The God of glory thunders, and in his temple all say, "Glory!" The Lord is enthroned above the flood; the Lord is enthroned as king forever.  onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

We are a mixed, non-audition choir. All songs are taught by ear and we don’t expect anyone to learn the words off by heart. However, music can be made available for those who want it. We sing a range of different songs, including pop, gospel, world music and classical. We mainly sing songs with piano accompaniment, provided by our famous pianist, Geoff. We Hold our own annual concert, and we are often invited to sing at other local events such as the local MayFest. Our members come along for “enjoyment, friendship and satisfaction as well as singing with a group of like-minded people”. Singing is reputed to release endorphins in the brain, and we’ve certainly noticed amongst us a sense of well-being following rehearsals and in particular, concerts. We are a very sociable bunch and often meet for a drink at the Chimp House on Gloucester Road following our rehearsal on Thursday evenings. Please do come along, new faces are always welcome. ...    onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
