World touring choir from Norway with 900 years of choir tradition.
We bring you classical repertoires as well as delightful Norwegian Folk Songs.
The Nidaros Cathedral Boys’ Choir has over 900 years of rich history. It’s the main choir of Nidaros Cathedral which is located in the ancient capital of Trondheim, Norway. It’s also the main choir of Royal events.
The choir will celebrate its 100 years of modern history in 2027 with a global tour.
Current artistic director and conductor, Bjørn Moe - a former soprano in the choir, successfully reinvented the choir since joining as conductor in 1973.
There are 100 members in the main choir, 70 sopranos/altos (9-15 years old) and 30 tenors/basses (15-68 years old). In addition, the mini-boys choir, has 40 boys ages 7-9.
Apart from religious repertoire, the choir also sings Norwegian Folk Songs as well as Songs from different cultures around the world. Each year the Choir collaborates with orchestras to present... less

T... moreOll an Gwella are a bunch of beauties! All members of Newquay Male Voice Choir, they are a rehearsed, a cappella, male chorus with a repertoire consisting of over 100 Songs including Shanties, Cornish Folk, 1960s classics, seasonal & sacred music.
Their 4-part harmony and infectious humour has brought them Popularity as their repertoire and reputation have grown. Entertaining for pleasure, they raise thousands of pounds for voluntary, charity & community groups. £1200 profit from donations and their first CD was donated to “The Cove” Cancer Centre and further donations have been made to RNLI and Cornwall Blood Bikes (who have received more than £3400 as their current charity). Live broadcasts on local radio and a recording by ‘Spotlight’ for BBC Television followed. Those three Latin words, meaning “Faster, Higher, Stronger,” echoed throughout millions of homes as people around the world tuned in to watch those games. “Call of the Champions” was a spectacular collaboration that inspired hearts and lifted spirits of a nation still reeling from the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed the national anthem at the opening ceremonies, which included a tribute using the flag that was flown at Ground Zero.
