All the children are free, Teachers are gone, In all corners of the country, school is out! All the pilgrims are ready; it's the frivolous party season! The feast has begun, everywhere it's part time! Many have arrived at Lakou Migonga. Chickens, turkeys and ducks Are carousing in the yard. Fathers, grandfathers, brothers and sisters are gathered, Neighbors and friends, we all make one family. These are all customs in the country of Haiti. Artocarpus incisa, Millet, Sugarcanes are flourishing. Mangos and Avocados are falling all day long. The night before, it's wood burning, The next day, it's the ten a.m. Mass. His initial claim was also to promote new soloists a...  more The Rías Baixas Choir was presented in Vigo in January 2014 with the purpose of replacing the lack of choral formations that could collaborate with orchestras and chamber groups in Galicia (NW Spain). His initial claim was also to promote new soloists and serve as a tool for new and established composers specially from the Rias Baixas area. The Choir already has more than sixty performances, both self-managed and scheduled in various cycles or festivals such as Outono Lírico, Vigo Sinfónico, Barcia de Mera Religious Music Series, Nas Ondas, Portico Sonoro, Explurart, Cooltural Cambados and II Festival Groba. In these performances they have interpreted several fundamental works of the choral repertoire in all kind of stages of the four Galician provinces, both a capella and with instrumental accompaniment. Samples of these are Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini (version for two pianos), the Requiem in C minor by L. Cherubini, Music for the funeral of Queen Mary by H. Purcell, Mass in D major by A.
