Our latest performance was back up for Barry Manilow! We have sung our way through Germany and Austria and on two separate occasions at Disneyland and California Adventures. We had the honor of performing at Pearl Harbor and aboard the USS Missouri in Hawaii. Our choir also participated in a combined concert with Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA and last fall we were chosen to be a part of a larger ensemble to sing in Rome, Italy, performing at the Vatican. Each b...  moreFounded in 2002, Òran is part of Edmonton's Kokopelli Choir Association. Òran began as an alumni offshoot of the Kokopelli Youth Choir, but it has since developed into a group made up of Young adults from all over Edmonton and the surrounding area. Each brings a different viewpoint to the group, but all are united in their passion for singing. The choir stresses the same philosophical goals as its Younger counterpart, striving to achieve musical excellence and artistic integrity, as well as combining new interpretive techniques with more traditional choral expertise. Above all, the group is dedicated to sharing joy in song with each other, with other choirs, and with audiences around Edmonton and across Canada. With thirty-five voices and a multi-talented band, the choir’s repertoire ranges from hip-hop, reggae, traditional and contemporary gospel. The director and founder of this anointed choir is Shawn Cotterell. Shawn Cotterell’s first musical experience began at the age of seven singing in a church choir. The group was founded in 2008 by three of Carrington’s former students who shared the desire to form an elite professional vocal chamber ensemble under his direction. We began with the singular purpose of ministry and spreading the gospel. ​Since incorporation, NGGC now operates under two mandate objectives: to develop the professional and musical skills of Young adults 20-30 years of age; and to bring gospel music as a respected genre of music, along with its more evolved counterparts (Jazz and Classical music), in Canada. Gospel Music has served vitally in the development of all members who have joined NGGC. Our unique incorporation, interpretation, and delivery of this embodied form of art, has garnered multiple forms of support — like spectators; organizations; donors; and sponsors alike — granting us the ability to develop both the musical and professional skills of our members in tandem.  less

Pacifica Singers provides an ideal performance venue for experienced and motivated choral Singers whose goal is to make music at a very high level. By providing direct exposure to the world of professional music making, it is an experience of great value for Singers intending to make a career in music.
