Performing with an ensemble of 10 singers and no conductor, Chicago a cappella is recognized as one of The area’s most accomplished vocal ensembles. Under The direction of artistic director John William Trotter, The group spans a repertoire from Gregorian chant to The Beatles and beyond and is known for its performances of sacred works, vocal jazz and pop, folk and international music, as well as a special focus on music written in The present generation. Since its founding in 1993, The ensemble has introduced dozens of works to Chicago audiences for The first time, including commissioned works by Chen Yi, Stacy Garrop, and Tania León. Chicago a cappella has toured to 13 U.S. states and Mexico and has appeared on national radio broadcasts, including American Public Media’s "Performance Today." 免除世罪者 Qui tollis peccata mundi 韋瓦第使用了無比優美的和聲、極緩慢的速度、不斷變化的音程，刻畫出人類祈望耶穌垂聽 禱告的心願。全曲更以半音階的和聲進行，前半段4/4拍以沈穩的方式唱出「天主免除世 人罪過」，之後轉換成3/2拍，速度較急切的說出「請接受、請接受我的祈禱」，以迫切 的感覺深刻描繪出耶穌基督將世人罪過除去的恩典。 指揮: 翁佳芬 伴奏: 巴洛克獨奏家樂團 時間: 2007/12/11 地點: 高雄市文化中心至德堂

To begin with I wasn't sure, since They seemed somewhat re...  moreOn Christmas Eve morning 2017, I was approached by a member of our congregation who said he had been inspired by The Holy Ghost to write some words and that he would like me to set Them to music. To begin with I wasn't sure, since They seemed somewhat repetitive, but as The day progressed to The early afternoon I found that I was also inspired (I even missed lunch!). The piece varies in mode from D Dorian to A Aeolian. The performance is by me (multi-tracking).
