The choir consists of members mainly from Cape Town's Northern suburbs, but also as far as the Helderberg region and Mitchells Plain. The repertoire of the choir consists of religious and secular music that varies from the Renaissance to the modern era. This includes (oratoria, masses extracts from operas, operettes, musicals and arrangements of folk- and ethnic music.

The group consists of musicians from around the South West and we perform at a wide range of venues all over the country. Our repertoire includes traditional choral music as well as contemporary arrangements of popular songs, film scores and jazz standards. We are available for hire and can provide an atmosphere and presence to meet the needs of any event.

The joins are barely noticeable! The Hubbard Saga was written specially for Sale Festival 2001 and follows the antique antics of the fabulous dog of Old Mother Hubbard. The Children's Chorus echoes the barking of the dog whilst the adult choir takes us through the story. Then the children -- one by one tell us the story behind the poem itself. Its aims are to rehearse and perform a wide variety of music to a high standard, and to engage with the local community, both in its membership and by bringing top quality performances to the local area and beyond. We also plan to have a lot of fun doing it!We don’t hold auditions and are delighted to welcome new members of all voice types and experience levels.

We rehearse, in excellent facilities provided by Hutchesons' Grammar School, on Monday evenings, Aug - Nov and Jan - Mar; we give two concerts, in Nov and Mar, in an on-site auditorium, with 3-manual digital organ. The auditorium can accommodate 60 singers, up to 30 orchestral players and an audience of around 250 (300 max).
