The group would like to promote their vast repertoire ...  moreFounded in 2001 by Cyrille Rault-Gregorio, the Choir of the “Chambre Arthémys” is comprised of 18 singers chosen especially for their Vocal and Musical talents. These singers also perform as soloists. The group would like to promote their vast repertoire of singing ‘a cappella’ (without instruments) pieces from 16th to 21st century and their different styles. As well as being accompanied by orchestral ensembles, the Choir often work with notable composers (Lucian Tuguy, Thibault Maillé, Jean-Christophe Marti…) who help to create the Musical pieces. Ranging from traditional concerts to original and artistic experiences, the Choir is always seeking to give value to all of the creative initiatives. In 2006, the Choir collaborated with dancers from the Paris Opera House for the ballet of Stéphane Elizabé, “De l'Autre côté à l'amphithéâtre Bastille” (From the other side of the Bastille Amphitheatre). The Choir is famous for its amazingly rich collection of fourty-two prizes and awards of different international Choir competitions. The years of 2006 and 2008 were particularly successful for the group, as the 4th Choir Olympics in China and the 5th Choir Olympics in Austria brought twice the Olympic Championship of All-Male Choirs to Pécs. In 2014, the Pécs men fascinated the jury and audience again – resulting an absolute first prize in the Beijing International Competition for Choirs. As a result of the high artistic reputation, the chorus has been invited to make tours in Europe as well as in the US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and China. The double CD of Choral Works for male voices by Zoltán Kodály was issued in 2010, as a world-premiere.
