With a membership of 65-70 musicians from throughout the campus, this ensemble is quickly becoming recognized for its musical excellence. Recent concerts have included Johann Sebastian Bach’s Lobet den Herrn, Alle Heiden, Samuel Barber’s Reincarnations and Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb. Strong sight-reading skills and musicianship are important to membership. This ensemble is directed by Dr. Jonathan Babcock, associate director of choral activities. Texas State University Singers rehearses Mondays from 5:00–6:30 PM (M222) and Tuesdays/Thursdays 2:00-3:20 PM (M222)  less

This auditioned SATB choir has a long history of performing high quality choral music at various events including School concerts, community events, and National conferences and festivals. Last year after winning the St John’s group choral Rosebowl, this choir won both the Provincial Music Festival and the National Music Festival of Canada. The choir has been featured on local television and radio programs and even performed live in concert International Children performing icons- The Wiggles. The Wiggles Performance garnered national attention with news articles in All major outlets across the country.
