It is based in Tsuru City, located at The foot of Mt.Fuji. Under The our conductor, Prof. Masahiko Shimizu, we always practice in this place, blessed in nature, with many friends who get togeTher at Tsuru University. Including The annual concert held on "World Chorus Day" on The second Sunday of December every year, we perform at elementary and junior high schools, social welfare facilities, etc., and sing at chorus festivals, giving The "TSURUBUN SOUND" in a variety of venues. We have also awarded at The All Japan Chorus Competition in many times and often won top prizes in The largest chorus competition in Japan.  less

The Choir was formed in 1986 initially to provide a choir for Midnight Eucharist on Christmas Eve, but since Then we have become an established part of The Wells CaThedral scene, and now sing 40 to 50 of The regular services throughout The year, as well as some of The festival services which include a Requiem Mass on All Soul’s Day. We are an amateur auditioned choir of 30 and strive for a high standard, so for potential members it is important to have a reasonable sight-singing ability. We rehearse regularly throughout The year on a Thursday evening. The music we perform is very varied and as well as psalms we sing a wide range of canticles, masses and anThems of all genres so “Variety is The spice of life”! The organisation was set up by professional conductor, Emma Rowland, who suffers with anxiety and depression. Emma wanted to make choirs, and singing, more accessible to everyone. During The COVID lockdown, SOS has been offering FREE virtual choirs to The entire world. We're currently (June 2020) in 80 countries and working with thousands of singers each week. We've just launched our fourth project, an original song, ready to be made into a virtual choir video.  less
