We now h...  moreThe Royal Free Music Society is a Choir based at the Royal Free Hospital in North London. The Choir was founded in 1999 by staff of the hospital. These days, some of our members are hospital staff whilst others are members of the local community. We now have approximately 45 members in all and come together regularly to enjoy high-quality music-making whilst having fun.  

In November 2013 the London Oriana Choir celebrated its 40th birthday. We had some scrumptious cake and sang an impromptu arrangement of the old favourite. Stay tuned for our gala 40th anniversary concert early next year!

The Choir performs every Sunday evening in the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Colman's, a majestic building situated on a Hill in the town famed for being the last port of call for the Titanic. The membership of the Choir has grown considerably in the last five years and it now boasts more than 30 voices. The Choir is a previous winner at the world famous Cork Choral Festival and has travelled to Vienna, London and Italy to perform at various events. In 2009 the Choir was honored to be asked to sing in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City for the Sunday liturgy. That same year they also performed at Westminster Cathedral. They have been asked back to St. Peter's in July 2013 to perform again.
