Founded in 2008 under the direction of Matthew Larkin, the Choir is formed of professional choral scholars from the Toronto area. the Larkin Singers has had successful tours to Bristol, UK as resident Choir at Bristol Cathedral and to New York City. they have also presented concerts in Ottawa, London and Kingston. In 2008, the Larkin Singers released its first recording, "A New Work is Come on Hand" featuring music of the Christmas season by Bach, R.V. Williams, Howells, Ord and others. Modern Belarusian music takes a large part of our repertoire, thanks to that we are happy to open Belarus to other nations.

Founded in 1934, the Victoria Choral Society has played a leading role in Victoria's cultural life, and has performed with every Victoria Symphony conductor since the Symphony’s inception. the Choir was created after 200 singers, representing most of the church Choirs of the day in Victoria, assembled in 1934 to sing Messiah. they agreed to continue singing together to promote choral music, and the Victoria Choral Society, at that time called the Victoria Choral Union, was formed. the instrumentalists who played with the Choir later formed the Victoria Symphony.
