Last July, over 100 BIG Sing members flash mobbed the Maldon Tesco Store and the YouTube video has had over 16,000 views, raising money for Cancer Research UK. As well as community events, The BIG Sing have hosted their own sold out shows in Essex and have many more coming up this year! As The BIG Sing grows we are continuing to reach out to more people of all ages and backgrounds. We aim to unite people with uplifting music and have seen the choir members grow in confidence, experience the thrill of performing on stage, make new friends and belong to a new choir family. The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and...  moreCôr Meibion Pontypridd (Pontypridd Male choir; the name means choir of the Sons of Pontypridd) was formed in 1949 for traditional Welsh singing. The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The choir is a member of the National Association of choirs, the Welsh Association of Male choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV Male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less

Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutt...  moreAmicantus choir is a group of good friends and very talented musicians based in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire under the leadership of one of the Midlands leading Musical Directors, Miss Maddy Evans. Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutter to Take That and Snow Patrol with a good dose of musicals and Disney thrown in for good measure. The seeds of the choir were first planted back in mid-2012 when Maddy was asked to set up a choir to perform a small concert at her local church near to Stratford Upon Avon. The choir are all good friends and met in a variety of ways from other choirs, bands and performing arts groups. Since their first concert, they have grown to become one of the best and most revered choirs in the Midlands and have performed at countless venues from the Birmingham German Christmas Markets to Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations in Stratford Upon Avon to their very first concert in Warwick in June 2013.
