Academic Male Choir of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing was established on January 11, 2016 as the initiative of the conductor Josip degl' Ivellio and the Dean Professor Mislav Grgic, PhD. the constitution and first rehearsal of the cho...  moreAcademic Male Choir of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing was established on January 11, 2016 as the initiative of the conductor Josip degl' Ivellio and the Dean Professor Mislav Grgic, PhD. the constitution and first rehearsal of the choir was held on January 18, 2016. the choir has been holding since its foundation regular weekly rehearsals, and has grown into the biggest male choir in Croatia, but also wider. the choir in its repertoire emphasizes classical choral literature, primarily Croatian composers. In addition, the choir's repertoire includes both a cappella compositions of the classical repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary music, as well as the clapet and compositions of contemporary or popular multilayer music. Members of the choir are present the former students and staff of the Faculty, as well as other interested friends and supporters of the Faculty. Since foundation, choir has won multiple golden plaques and more than 80 concerts or performances.  less

Nel 2008 Gabriella lascia il coro e viene sostituita brevemente dal M° Benedetto Fiori e, in seguito, da Marta De Colle. Attualmente il direttore è Gino V. Ruoso con cui il coro mantiene il carattere popolare e di montagna, con ampliamento a brani di autori contemporanei.  less

the Mayo Male Voice Choir has been in existence for twelve years, it has grown in strength this year from 26 to 42 members, and now has a wide and varied repertory featuring many favorites from light opera to popular musical. Our members are mainly from a...  morethe Mayo Male Voice Choir has been in existence for twelve years, it has grown in strength this year from 26 to 42 members, and now has a wide and varied repertory featuring many favorites from light opera to popular musical. Our members are mainly from around the Castlebar area, but with five from Ballinrobe, more from Swinford, Kilkelly and Ballyglass we now truly represent our county. Under the musical direction of Deirdre Lee, from Kiltimagh, Deirdre has been our musical director since the choir’s inception, an honors music graduate of University College Maynooth, having studied under Professor Gerard Gillen. She has been involved in many musicals and events as musical director, arranged and conducted. Deirdre is a teacher of music, choir and orchestra in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar. She has arranged many of the pieces we perform in four part for male voice. which were previously not available to us.  less
