The mission of Nashville Singers is to entertain, educate, unite and uplift Their audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence. Their philanthropic mission of Nashville Singers is to provide funding and support for music education in our schools and The community. The singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of The chorus. By The end of Their sophomore year, Nashville Singers had learned 24 songs, released Their first CD, performed for 15 organizations across Middle Tennessee, and produced a successful Concert series which attracted attendees from 36 cities in eight states across The U...    less

Tra$h Ma$h is a piece made up entirely of musical quotes lifted directly from modern pop songs and mashed togeTher using The Tippet technique (perfect for our 21st century attention spans!) Deep down, I love trashy pop, and The singers in The Australian Voices are mostly under 21. We had a whole lot of parties to find The best (and worst) songs of 2011 to mash togeTher in a kind of 60's disjunct treatment of pop, chopping it up and sticking it back togeTher in a way that was never intended. When founding member Rick Rosen left California in mid-2003 to move back to Bucks County, The original group of west coast singers went on hiatus. In its second life, and with The blessings of The founding Californians, Cordus Mundi was reborn in early 2005 in Bucks County. Now with fifteen Voices, The newest incarnation of Cordus Mundi has The flexibility and versatility to expand The group’s musical exploration into new areas - The repertoire is varied and eclectic, and The group includes two composers and several arrangers. Cordus Mundi draws its repertoire from a wide range of composers and styles, from Dunstable to Duruflé, from Byrd to Bernstein, from Palestrina to Paranjoti, from Brahms to The Beatles, and from Jacob Handl to Edie Hill. The choristers met each oTher during Their nine-year education in fine arts as members of The St. Thomas Boys Choir Leipzig. Today The ensemble consists of tenors Christian Pohlers and Paul Heller as well as basses Felix Hübner, Lucas Heller and Lukas Lomtscher. Their repertoire ranges from late medieval mass songs to modern age works. The five young musicians attach great importance to The works of German Romantic composers, such as Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn Bartholdy, as well as to Their extensive repertoire of church music. The ensemble successfully collaborates with a number of oTher artists, such as The composer Manfred Schlenker(GER), who dedicated his motet Gott wohnt in einem Lichte to The quintet, on a regular basis.
