The group was founded in 2001 in Leioa's the Music School by Basilio Astulez, its current conductor. Kantika's repertorie has always balanced folk, sacrum and contemporary Music. Due to the projects such as operas, international tours and TV concerts the choir enjoys a fine popularity.
