Tamariki offers a focus on thorough and excellent Music education, with singers learning about healthy vocal production, the body-voice connection, and vibrant performance presence as well as a strong emphasis on Musical literacy, Music theory, and sightsinging skills. As with all our ensembles, Tamariki provides a secure and accepting social environment where all singers feel their importance as members of the group. Most importantly, Tamariki has fun and creates exciting Music! All members studied a sacred choral Music under Koji Oguchi, Choir director, when they were high school students. they were deeply touched by Oguchi’s Music and established the Ensemble Choir SPERA. Making its debut in concert in March 2014 at Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, SPERA’s Music was highly prized and well-reviewed in newspapers.
