Orfej...  moreKomorni zbor Orfej / Chamber choir Orfej was formed in 1989. The choir's permanent artistic director is Romana Rek. In the past years, Chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian choirs. Orfej has proven its High level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed choirs’.  

La Nova Singers perform the Barcarolle by Offenbach, at a live concert in St Mary's Church, Dorchester on 6th June 2009. The soloists are Su Convy and Rachel Scivier.

However, it also sings with instrumental accompaniment. The choir has pieces from different ages, languages and styles in its repertoire. It gives both Turkey and world premieres of songs. It premiered the concerto Romeo and Juliet, composed by the conductor Agosyan last year.
