Although their trajectory is short they...  moreTantak Korala is a child-youth group from Mungia, which performs choral activities in addition to his musical training. The choir is composed by children between 7 to 18, all directed by their conductor, Asun Lopez. Although their trajectory is short they have much encouragement to learn and improve. In 2009, they federated in the Bizkaia´s Choir Federation (BAE) and so they did their first performance in public. Since then, they have decided to continue participing everywhere they can, because it enriches them in their musical konwledge. In 2010 they won the second prize in the National Contest of Carols of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. In 2012 they took part in Europa Cantat Festival, celebrated in Torino (Italy).  less

Barony Choir was established in 2011 in Midleton, East Cork, Ireland. A mixed voice SATB choir of c. 30 members.

Together with the Jazz-saxophonist Stefan Kuchel and the Sirius Quartet, the young men's choir performs contemporary works. The Quartet members describe themselves as artists of improvisation who break out of the conventional vocabulary of sound for a string quartet. Most pieces on this CD were written especially for the Sonux Ensemble, and thus composed to the singers' strengths. "We have worked on these pieces together with the composers, and given them their first performances over the course of the last five years. This disc features only world premiere recordings and, literally, unheard of choral music, " the choir's director Hans-Joachim Lustig notes. The works recorded on this CD focus on the topics of light and love. The eponymous poem by Charles Anthony Silvestri that lends its title to the disc frames and connects the two topics.
