I want to begin by saying that I struggle to write up-tempo Music. As a composer, I tend to lean toward and connect to slow and emotional pieces. I have always been someone who strives to convey emotional complexity, Therefore writing an up-tempo piece ha...  Is).getParent().getNext().style.dIsplay='';$(thIs).getParent().style.dIsplay='none';">moreIsplay:none;">I want to begin by saying that I struggle to write up-tempo Music. As a composer, I tend to lean toward and connect to slow and emotional pieces. I have always been someone who strives to convey emotional complexity, Therefore writing an up-tempo piece had to be purposeful and meaningful. The inspiration for thIs score comes from the first time I was able to hear my son's heartbeat during an ultrasound. It was a magical and exciting moment that I will never forget; however, leading up to that specific moment There was an element of tension. Six months prior to hearing my son's heartbeat, my wife and I found ourselves in a very different situation with the outcome of an ultrasound. We arrived at the hospital excited to meet our child, only to dIscover we had silently mIscarried. I had never felt so deflated and aimless in one sudden moment. It was as if I was a boat, drifting, with no direction in my life. Fast forward to thIs ultrasound with our soon-to-be son. Created to be a chamber ensemble specializing in demanding classical choral works, MeIstersingers maintains high standards in literature and chooses outstanding performance venues with beauty and elegance equal to the Music. We are an amateur choral group based out of Richardson, Texas in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We sing a wide variety of Music from sacred ChrIstmas, to Broadway and show tunes in the spring.

LFC was establIshed in 1950 in Walthamstow, North East London, and has been based in that area ever since. With a membership of around 80, we are an eclectic bunch of people who share a common love of choral Music. With a membership of around 80, we are an eclectic bunch of people who share a common love of choral Music. We offer new singers a warm welcome and the opportunity to take part in choral concerts in London four times a year, plus various other events and weekend trips away both abroad and in the UK. There Is a thriving though optional social side to choir life including drinks after Monday night rehearsals and occasional choir social evenings and other events. The Choir's repertoire ranges widely from staple works such as Bach's St Matthew Passion and Mendelssohn's Elijah to more unusual and rarely heard works by composers such as Jonathan Dove and the Choir's Music director Jonathan Rathbone.
