Directe...  moreBlossom Street is a highly versatile and vibrant Chamber choir comprising some of the UK’s best young singers which performs regularly on TV and radio as well as on the concert platform, and has released two critically acclaimed CDs with Naxos. Directed by Hilary Campbell, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, the group was formed a decade ago, while the singers were studying at the University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In York, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2, which was broadcast during the snooker final in 2005, and since then has performed nationwide and beyond. They sang to Prince Charles on ITV1 as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, and gave their debut in Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Voicelab series in 2009. It also aims to provide an opportunity for passionate singers to discover the voice as a singing instrument, develop high-level musical skills related to choral singing, influence choral music appreciation, develop cultural awareness, use choral music as a tool for change in building a better community, and finally, to represent Eastern Visayas in both local and international choral scenes. The Sinirangan believes that everyone can enjoy choral music and hopes to connect people of diverse backgrounds and ages to this extraordinary art form. It is supported by a smaller, auditioning Fulham Camerata Ensemble which is made up of professional and semi-professional singers, allowing the main Camer...  moreFulham Camerata is primarily a non-auditioning amateur Chamber choir with between 25 and 50 members. It is supported by a smaller, auditioning Fulham Camerata Ensemble which is made up of professional and semi-professional singers, allowing the main Camerata to tackle exciting repertoire and maintain high musical standards while fostering the careers of young professionals. The choir also offers choral scholarships to promising young soloists which provides vocal support for the amateur Choir, and fosters career development for the scholars. The amateur and ensemble groups come together for at least three main concerts a year with additional Christmas concerts, sometimes with orchestra. The amateur choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.30pm  less
