This short film is the inaugural work of Darma Cendika Catholic University students. Hati, Melody, and Natal tells of a student who has migrated to Surabaya to forge an education. The student is active in the Student Choir Activity Unit. After going through several semesters, the student has a very deep longing to be able to meet his mother. All participants are vocally trained, some of which at music academies. The ensemble prepares concerts twice a year, singing highly diverse repertoire, ranging from renaissance compositions to contemporary music and everything in between. TIEN cooperates with several conductors, each specialized in the repertoire and theme chosen for a programme, e.g. Fokko Oldenhuis, JanJoost van Elburg, Felix van den Hombergh, Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen and Nicky Bouwers.  less

Our concerts are at various venues in and around th...  moreWe are a small Chamber Choir of 20-25 singers founded 55 years ago, based in the London borough of Hillingdon. We perform a wide repertoire of secular and sacred music, with and without accompaniment. Our concerts are at various venues in and around the borough, and once a year we perform with a small professional orchestra. We also hold regular social gatherings, to include families and friends, and enjoy musical evenings and events. Would you like to sing with us? New members in all voices are warmly welcomed. After a few weeks there is a short informal audition, which includes some sight-reading. Members are asked to pay a modest subscription of £11 per month by direct debit. We rehearse weekly during term time on Monday evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00pm, in the small parish Hall at All Saints Church, Long Lane, Hillingdon, UB10 9BT. The small parish Hall is behind the main church Hall, and can be accessed from the side entrance.  less
