As this piece was meant to represent the early beginnings of human civilization and the birth of language, we have staged the piece in a somewhat tribal way and added jungle sound effects.

Drugi videospot vokalne zasedbe Bassless, a cappella priredba skladbe Čas (Dan D). Snemanje je potekalo na železniški postaji v Ljubljani, v vlaku na relaciji Ljubljana - Celje in v parku Tivoli
Bassless je skupina petih članov z različnih koncev Slovenije, ki jih v nespremenjeni zasedbi od aprila 2013 združuje ljubezen do glasbe in skupnega ustvarjanja. Izvajajo a cappella priredbe pesmi široke palete žanrov: pop, rock, disco, dance, funk, jazz, blues, ter lastno avtorsko glasbo.

The women shed their shawls and toss them into the center to represent the ingredients being dropped into the bubbling 'cauldron'.

A cappella is a touring choir, having visited Prague and France, and hoping to make a tour to Spain in the near future. The choir rehearses every other Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and noon.

This creates a "virtual" performance, since the piece is strung together from multiple acoustical venues from multiple days. The performance tour also included other modern works, such as Eric Whitacres "Sleep" and "Lux Aurumque", Frank Ticheli's "There Will Be Rest", and Dan Forrest's "Selah".

As the introduction states, Eric Whitacre's famous "Sleep" was originally composed to Rober... moreAs part of The Vocal art Ensemble's "INKSPELL--Choral Music Inspired by Masters of Poetry" concerts, this piece started the 'modern poetry' section of the concert. As the introduction states, Eric Whitacre's famous "Sleep" was originally composed to Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", but when Whitacre realized the Frost estate was not releasing permission for musical settings of the poem, Charles Silvestri wrote the poem "Sleep" around the music Whitacre had written. To honor the inspiration the poem gave Mr. Whitacre, and to further honor all poets who inspire choral composers, we presented this beloved piece with the original Frost lyrics. less

This piece was presented in the second half of the program, representing the changing seasons, which paralleled the changing moods and textures in the piece's three mini movements.

Performing with an ensemble of 10 singers and no conductor, Chicago a cappella is recognized as one of the area’s most accomplished vocal ensembles. Under the direction of artistic director John William Trotter, the group spans a repertoire from Gregorian chant to the Beatles and beyond and is known for its performances of sacred works, vocal jazz and pop, folk and international music, as well as a special focus on music written in the present generation. Since its founding in 1993, the ensemble has introduced dozens of works to Chicago audiences for the first time, including commissioned works by Chen Yi, Stacy Garrop, and Tania León.
