Boosting about 190 choristers ages 5 to 18, the HCC offers youth vocal training and music instruction to foster creative expression and appreciation of music. Its latest choir program, Lads & Gents, is a boys choir program that provides young male singers (ages 8 to 28) with an opportunity to explore their choral instrument within a safe, supportive environment, surrounded by other boys and young men. An internationally-acclaimed and award-winning choir, the HCC has been invited to tour across Canada, Europe and more recently Saint-Lô, France for the Polyfollia concert (Oct. 21-26, 2014), a biennial world showcase and marketplace for choral singing. Under the musical direction of Kevin Fox (UK) and the baton of House conductor Erez Tal, Vocalocity performs mostly original arrangements of a range of cutting-edge rock/pop/jazz music. The singers, all of whom come from a background in modern a cappella, range in age but are mostly around their 20s-30s. After a fruitful year, including 3 full-House concerts and several festivals, working with leading acapella masters such as Line Groth and Eric Bosio, collaborating with leading arrangers, composers and artists and recording for the upcoming Swingle Singers CD, we are looking forward 2015 with a visit to Aarhus Vocal Festival and creating some new recording and video clips of our own. The members of the choir are professional musicians. Until now, the choir took part in the projects of the National Theater and The Opera House of Bitola (Heraclea and Likini and Fiddler on the roof); choir seminar in Solun (Greece);many whole concerts and participation in humanitarian conserts. On our programme are represented all type of choir music, accapela and music with instruments.
