Introduction:
There once lived a Man in a Castle, and a strange Man was he.
He shunned The Countess’ parties; he yawned at town meetings;
he would not let The doctor take his pulse; he did not go to church on Sundays.
Oh what a strange Man is The Man in The Castle!
First Madrigal:
Ev’ry Sunday afternoon, soft winds fanning The fading sun,
all The respectable folk went out walking slowly on The pink promenade by The sea.
Proud husbands velvety-plump, with embroider’d silk-pale ladies.
At four o’clock They all greeted each oTher; They spoke ill of each oTher at six:
“How d’you do?” “Very well, thank you.”
“Have you heard?” “Pray, do tell me.”
“Tcha tcha tcha tcha tcha ra tcha ra tcha...”

“Thank you.” “Thank you.” “Good-bye.” “Good-bye.”
“Isn’t she a gossip!” “Isn... less

Harmonious Chorale Ghana - Joseph And His Brethren An Oratorio By George Frideric Handel.
Performed By The Harmonious Chorale-Ghana and Conducted By James Varrick Armaah - 2nd July, 2017
Now, before Act II begins, more biblical story needs to be inserted: After Joseph saves wisely during The seven years of plenty, The
famine begins. Because Egypt is now well positioned for food, people from afar come to purchase grain to replace Their own failing crops. Among These are Joseph's broThers, who do not recognize him (although he recognizes Them). He accuses Them of being spies and orders Them to leave one of Them, Simeon, here in jail while They go home and return with Their youngest broTher Benjamin (who did not come The first time). less

Wow. Hold on, give me a second... I need to relax after this one.
This was crazy difficult. Not only was it just difficult note-wise, but The rhythms were ridiculous too. It was loads of fun though!
I started working on this in June. I did take July and August off while I was away for The summer, but all in all this is The product of a little less than 4 months of work.
There are 8 voices that you don't see, but that's just because I couldn't fit Them on screen. 4 baritone voices and 4 tenor voices do not have videos to go along with Them, but There aren't any splits in those parts so I don't... less
