It was officially inaugurated in September 2011 and was widely attended by thousands of choral music lovers across the country. The group has performed at numerous high profile functions like the international leadership awards night (tuzoya oungozi), national peace makers rally at the national theater among others. The group also embarked on a nationwide peace campaign tour which was dubbed "11.11.12 - Sing Ghana 4 peace". The choir is noted for music evangelism and charity projects in Ghana. The second performance of the newly commissioned "City Songs" by Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds, Australian poet Emma Jones and narrator Imogen Heap. The work was commissioned by the Voices Now Festival and first performed in the Roundhouse, London, June 2013. The second performance took place on Friday 25th October 2013 in St. Columb's Hall, Derry as part of the inaugural choral festival. This second performance featured the Holst Singers and Roundhouse Choir from London, Codetta, Encore Contemporary Choir, Colmcille Ladies and the Music Promise Junior Choir from Derry and the Orchestra of Ireland, conducted by Stephen Layton.  less
