The rest is history. The line-up of Rendezvous is: Danny Fong (tenor) - voice major Brodie Cuff (lead) - voice major Andrew Kesler (baritone) - piano major Rob McLaren (bass) - guitar major Since their inception, Rendezvous has been singing strong at barbershop chapter shows, private functions and schools where it is their goal to spread the magic of barbershop singing to a younger audience. Rendezvous has charmed audiences throughout Canada and the United States with their energetic and fun shows, yet the driving force of these four young men is their dedication to musicality. We perform a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary works. All of our singers have been hand-picked and sing with some of the top amateur and professional choirs in the country, including: I Fagiolini, Genesis Sixteen, The Carice Singers, Renaissance, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain and many more. Abramek was born in 1930 in Lodz, Poland, and died 1944...  moreProgram Notes: The fact that the text for this work even exists is a miracle. It was written by Abraham ("Abramek") Koplowicz, a Jewish Boy who was exterminated by the Nazis during the Holocaust. Abramek was born in 1930 in Lodz, Poland, and died 1944 in the infamous concentration camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau. He wrote this poem during the time that his family was trapped in the Lodz ghetto. This poem was not found until 1983 when Eliezer ("Lolek") Grynfeld, the poet's half-brother, discovered it among their late father's belongings. Choristers who sing this work will be transported on a magical flight around the world through time and space along with their audiences.  less
