The University Singers have performed throughout the world, and have sung with a variety of professional orchestras including the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under the batons of conductors such as Carl St.Clair, John Mauceri, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart. Internationally acclaimed for their exquisite musicianship, they have been invited to perform at conferences organized by the American Choral Directors Association and the Music Educators National Conference. The Choir, which started its work with the conductor Gökhan Kalender, is a Women's Choir founded with the belief in the polyphonic talisman of the female voice and its musical universe. It set out to spread the interaction between different languages and cultures by expressing modern Turkish and world melodies with polyphonic music, and to perform on national and international platforms. It carries out both an academic and educational approach to work. FeminAnka, which met its audience at events such as Hacettepe State Conservatory-World Choir Day, Impact Hub Social Entrepreneurs New Year's Market, and Hello New Year Concert, continues to work at the Çankaya Municipality Muammer Sun Music Workshop in Ankara under the umbrella of the Choir Educators Association.  less
