Chantage won the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition in 2006, recorded live with Elbow at Abbey Road Studios in 2009 and is frequently featured on Classic FM and BBC radio. Chantage performs a wide range of repertoire, programming works traditionally performed by English chamber Choirs alongside lesser known works sourced from foreign choral cultures. Chantage was formed in 1999 by its Musical Director James Davey, and quickly established itself in London as a stylish and energetic young chamber Choir. It draws singers from all over the country and from all walks of life. The focus of our music is located in the Baltic region. of course! Our cherished and beloved conductor Arūnas Pečiulis is from Lithuania. In 2016 we released our first own CD "Christmas in Orange" with traditional and extraordinary Christmas songs from all over the world. We are also represented with a total of three pieces on the CDs „Salzburg singt 2 - Advent" and „Salzburg singt 3 - Adventkalender" of the Salzburg Choir Association. The group gives women from 16 to 70+ the opportunity to share the joy and proven health benefits of singing with like-minded people in a fun and creative environment. Weekly sessions, under the instruction of a highly enthusiastic and experienced Natural Voice Practitioner and registered British Voice Association teacher, will provide opportunities for you to sing in harmony, discover new techniques and to improve your musicality, understanding and appreciation of music. With your newly found confidence you will tackle more complicated and challenging musical arrangements and enjoy hearing the finished result – just for pleasure! Whilst we “work” hard these sessions are enjoyable social events. There is discipline and structure but also fun, laughter and a strong sense of teamwork as we rehearse songs from a variety of genres, performing new musical arrangements to suit a variety of tastes. Piano music for Choir? Why not! Written originally for solo vocalist, I turned this into an SATB choral tongue-twister--a cappella--and then added a piano part, which was further orchestrated for Choirs performing with orchestra during the holiday season....

We have an outdoor Choir and baby/toddler friendly indoor Choirs. We are welcoming, friendly and relaxed with no requirement for previous experience of the ability to read music.
