Paul Rudoi, winner of MCA's 2011 "Young Composer's Composition Competition" and member of Cantus (also based in Minneapolis), has written a special composition for the combined ensembles that will be premiered in Milwaukee, then repeated in two performances when MCA travels to Minneapolis to perform with the National Lutheran Choir on their All Saints' programs November 3 and 4, 2012. St Stephen’s has a Strong musical tradition with two choral services each Sunday throughout the year (except AuguSt when the choir has a well deserved break – but usually sing elsewhere for a number of days). Under the skilled direction of Howard Kane, who was appointed musical director in 2008, and ably assiSted by Robert Woods the choir has grown in size and reputation. Rehearsals Monday nights are rehearsal nights which are held in Frodsham MethodiSt Church, Kingsley Rd, WA6 6BA from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome to come along and give us a try. We rehearse from September through to July for our four main Concerts, which are held in Frodsham, and also take our music to other venues in the area.
