Η επιλογή των μελών της Χορωδίας γίνεται ύστερα από ακροάσεις και οι χορωδοί της εκπαιδεύονται, αφενός στην ανάγνωση και ερμηνεία μουσικών έργων και αφετέρου στην φωνητική διαπαιδαγώγηση. Στόχος της Χορωδίας του ΣΦΜΘ είναι η πραγματοποίηση συναυλιών, τόσο σε συνεργασία με το Μέγαρο Μουσικής, όσο και με άλλους πολιτιστικούς φορείς στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό (σε εκδηλώσεις όπως κοντσέρτα, όπερα, χορωδιακά φεστιβάλ). Για την επίτευξη των καλλιτεχνικών στόχων της Παιδικής Xορωδίας συνεργάζονται παιδαγωγός φωνής και πιανίστα, δίδοντας στους μαθητές-χορωδούς πολύτιμες συμβουλές για την καλλιτεχνική τους πρόοδο. Στο μικρό χρονικό διάστημα η Παιδική Xορωδία του ΣΦΜΘ έχει αναπτύξει το ρεπερτόριο της από την παλαιά μουσική (CarIssimi, Handel, Mozart, Haydn κ.ά.) μέχρι τον 20ο αιώνα, ερμηνεύοντας έργα Θεσσαλονικέων συνθετών, όπως των Βασίλη Θεο...    Is).getParent().getPrevious().style.dIsplay='';$(thIs).getParent().style.dIsplay='none';">less
