Established in 2003, this group was initiated by some Economics department students of Medan State University. Today, the members come from the very university and are not limited only for those who are studying in Medan State University, meaning everyone is welcomed to join the group.  

Founded in June 2010, Ponte Singers is one the of most preeminent youth choir in Hong Kong. With members graduated from Hong Kong traditional schools like Diocesan Boys’ School, Belilios Public School, St. Paul’s Coeducation College, Ying Wa Girls’ School...  moreFounded in June 2010, Ponte Singers is one the of most preeminent youth choir in Hong Kong. With members graduated from Hong Kong traditional schools like Diocesan Boys’ School, Belilios Public School, St. Paul’s Coeducation College, Ying Wa Girls’ School, St. Stephen’s Girls’ College, St. Paul’s College, Wah Yan College Kowloon, and also universities like the Hong Kong University and the Chinese University, the group was immediately invited by the HKSAR government to a celebration performance in early July 2010. The group also presented a standard professional program of sacred music in its first concert “Inspiratio” in August 2010, and a themed concert, featuring a range of masterpieces of Chinese Choral music,「聲．華」in August 2011, which won critical acclaim from local music conductors, composers and musicians. For a long time, the choir existed as part of this group, performing with its dancers and Orchestra, singing mostly folk music; in 1999, Valerija Skapiene, the present artistic director of the choir, began working in "Ugnele", and in a few years, the choir's repertoire extended to include not only folk, but also classical, jazz, world music; in 2002, during "Mes - Lietuvos vaikai" national choral competition, the choir was acknowledged to have reached the level of the first category (this is the highest category of artistic level in Lithuania). Journeys around the world followed - "Ugnele" has presented Lithuanian culture in fifteen countries from the Netherlands to South Korea; in 2004, the choir started a national choral festival for children, "Dainu mozaika".
