Being one of the most popular and sought after groups in Israel, "The Ensemble" has had innumerable performances of every sort and has participated in various festivals (including "Abu Ghosh" and "Festival Arad"), competitions (winners of "Shirat HaAretz 2001" and gold diploma recipients at "Sulam Mila 2002, 2004, 2006), official Israeli national and municipal events as well as a long list of private productions. Their repertoire leaning is towards “pop” (songs by the Beatles, Sting, Queen, Billy Joel, Aretha Franklin…), Israeli oldies and modern Hebrew “classics” which contain that "special something": On this list can be found songs by Shalom Hanoch, Yoni Rechter, Daniel Salomon, Yonathan Razel, and Yaruslav Yakobovitch. The group would like to promote their vast repertoire ...  moreFounded in 2001 by Cyrille Rault-Gregorio, the Choir of the “Chambre Arthémys” is comprised of 18 singers chosen especially for their Vocal and musical talents. These singers also perform as soloists. The group would like to promote their vast repertoire of singing ‘a cappella’ (without instruments) pieces from 16th to 21st century and their different styles. As well as being accompanied by orchestral Ensembles, the Choir often work with notable composers (Lucian Tuguy, Thibault Maillé, Jean-Christophe Marti…) who help to create the musical pieces. Ranging from traditional concerts to original and artistic experiences, the Choir is always seeking to give value to all of the creative initiatives. In 2006, the Choir collaborated with dancers from the Paris Opera House for the ballet of Stéphane Elizabé, “De l'Autre côté à l'amphithéâtre Bastille” (From the other side of the Bastille Amphitheatre). Nevenka's repertoire includes songs from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Croatia, Albania, Russia, Greece, and Georgia, as well as Ladino Sephardic and Rom (Gypsy) songs. The group was formed in 1976 by women who shared a common interest in the complex harmonies and compelling rhythms typical in Balkan music. Very much in the Eastern European tradition, Nevenka includes women of all ages making music together.
